Yoga
Yoga moves the body slowly and gently into postures that encourage relaxation, deep breathing, increased circulation, flexibility, and meditative receptivity. Through yoga, you may align physical, emotional and mental energies so that spiritual inspiration can be freely expressed through a healthy body. With ongoing yoga practice, we explore health and vitality through maintaining the physical body, balancing the emotions, and stretching into the realm of clear thought through higher mind.
Private Yoga Therapy involves communication and body work to transform what has been unmanageable or incomprehensible – such as pain, tension, confusion or feeling immobile – into movement and growth. Yoga gives you the opportunity to improve health by encouraging balance of mind, body, and spirit through breathing techniques and flow. At BranchView Body Therapy, we work primarily through the etheric body and focusing on the major chakra centers to establish a free-flowing movement of energy within your body systems. This work provides an opportunity to understand the subtleties of your challenges, to release pain (or that which is out of alignment with life force), to become aware of available options and to discover thoughts and actions that allow a more healthy flow of energy to manifest through you in your everyday life.
Group Yoga Classes focus on slow flow, breathing and meditation in a small group setting. Classes are taught by BranchView Body Therapy’s Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor and held in the community. Presently, class series are available through Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s department of Continuing Education under Personal Enrichment and Healthy Living.
